Teacher

Bret Easterling is a queer dance artist, educator, and producer. After receiving his BFA from The Juilliard School, Easterling became a formative member of Gallim Dance and a recognized contributor to Ohad Naharin’s internationally acclaimed Batsheva Dance Company.


Based in Los Angeles, Easterling is on faculty at the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance and a certified Gaga instructor who stages Ohad Naharin’s works at dance programs and companies around the world. He has built and presented his own choreographic works at venues including Jacob’s Pillow, LA Dance Project, b12, Whim W’Him, REDCAT, and Hauser & Wirth and in collaboration with music artists including Ai Bendr, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, and Jurassic Spine.


Easterling is also the Founder and Artistic Director of BEMOVING, an LGBTQ+ led nonprofit that builds nurturing environments for the research, development, and dissemination of dance works and movement practices.

BEMOVING MONDAYS @ 10AM
Class Title: FEEL BETTER


Class Description: Stimulate your body and use movement to improve the way you feel. Working through a series of intuitive exercises that unlock imaginative movement and expressions of unconscious will, participants will bring their mind to ease and strengthen their relationship with their body while developing their choreographic impulse. 
Taught by a rotating set of teaching artists from BEMOVING, FEEL BETTER is open to new, intermediate, and professional dancers.
