Mason Gray (she/they) is a multifaceted movement practitioner based in Los Angeles. Their work as a dance artist spans stage, screen, and site-specific performance. Deeply inspired by both human and earthly nature, Mason’s dance work relies on organic movement initiation, breath, and release. She uses performance as a medium for storytelling, exploring themes of theatricality, sensuality, human experience, and queerness. Mason has performed original repertoire from Bill T. Jones Arnie Zane Dance Company, Batsheva Dance Company, Rosalynde LeBlanc, Alex Ketley, James Gregg, and WHYTEBERG. In addition to teaching, Mason currently works as a freelance dance artist and alongside collaborators Monica Williams and Tippy Dringman in the performance project, TRIN. The creative trio have been creating dance together for 7 years and have premiered works around Los Angeles at the Atwater Village Theatre, Electric Lodge, Thymele Arts, and Stomping Ground LA.

Mason cares deeply about sharing movement with others, she is a RYT-200 Hour Certified Yoga Teacher, and her teaching practice spans yoga, dance, and physical therapy spaces. They originally found yoga as a tool for physical and spiritual wellness while studying Dance and Health & Human Sciences at Loyola Marymount University. Yoga is an extension of their love for anatomy, movement, breath, strength, and release. Mason teaches yoga with care, her Vinyasa based classes are fluid, intentionally sequenced, and anatomically mindful for all bodies and levels.
