VOLTA Winter Workshop - Join us for a one-day exploration beginning with FoCo Technique with Nat Wilson followed by Partnering/Creation with Mamie Green. Intermediate to Advanced.

FoCo Technique™ is an original contemporary dance technique developed by Yue Yin, fusing elements of Chinese classical dance, folk forms, ballet vocabulary and contemporary movement.

Volta’s Colliding Bodies class explores highly physical and acrobatic partnering in a safe and grounded way. Rebound, theatricality, and gesture are used to tell stories through connection to another body.

About the director: 

Directed by Mamie Green, Volta fuses physicality, theatricality & multidisciplinary approaches to performance. Green's work lives across a variety of artistic mediums to engage diverse audiences and break the boundaries of contemporary dance. Green has performed across the US, Europe, and the UK at museums, galleries, universities, festivals, & more. Praised by publications such as the LA Times, Green is the recipient of several grants, teaches globally, and organizes a residency program.
