2025 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Stomping Ground L.A. lives in the beautiful city of El Sereno in the East Los Angeles area. We are happy to announce that we are able to continue this amazing program into 2025 to celebrate and support the local youth & young adults in our surrounding area!

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
WHAT IS IT? The Stomping Ground L.A. Scholarship Program supports local youth and pre-professional artists to study here at SGLA with the companies and instructors that create here from the L.A. community. The scholarship includes:

Covering payment of classes and/or workshop tuition so the student can attend for FREE or reduced cost dependent on the price of the program. 

Working with members of the SGLA team to mentor and support personal and artistic goals of the student through in-person/zoom meetings & cohort movement classes. 

Learn operations of how to care for our loving facility & the communities that utilize it. SGLA swag to show your pride! 

Cohort gatherings to build community and camaraderie with other local students interested in the arts!

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE?

This scholarship is FREE to apply and open to ALL young artists within a 5 mile radius of the space. If you have received this scholarship in previous years, you may apply again.

AGE RANGE: 13-23
High School Students living or attending school in the East Los Angeles Area, 13-18 yrs old
Students/Pre-Professionals living or attending school in the East LA/El Sereno Area.

18-23 yrs old. At least 1 year of experience in any kind of dance, movement, or performance practice.

EATON FIRE SUPPORT
We are also extending eligibility to those affected by the most recent fires in our neighboring city of Altadena, CA. Experiencing movement & community is vital in this time of rebuilding. We invite you to apply if you are in need.

AGE RANGE: 13-23
High School Students who were living in the areas directly affected by the fires, 13-18 yrs old
Students/Pre-Professionals who were living in the areas directly affected by the fires.

18-23 yrs old
At least 1 year of experience in any kind of dance, movement, or performance practice.
Proof of eligibility will be required on the application.
